SMT Machine Operator – 2nd Shift

At our Phoenix, AZ location, this 2nd shift Surface Mount Technology (SMT) machine operator is responsible for programming / operating stencil printers, automated pick and place machines and re-flow ovens. Attention to detail is required.

Looking for full-time candidates with great attitudes and work ethic. Since on-the-job training is provided, no previous experience is required. However, experience with Philips/Assembleon/Yamaha surface mount machines, DEK stencil printers, and BTU reflow ovens will be a plus. Production Supervisor

As our Production Supervisor based in Phoenix, AZ, you will be responsible for leading our Solder Ops team as well as assisting the Production Coordinator with the processing of job orders across multiple production departments. This position is a key member of the management team. Your ability to manage by empowerment will allow you to hone your team’s skills and create an organization committed to continuous improvement. Read below for key attributes necessary to succeed and more details on specific job duties.

Key Attributes and Proficiencies:

  • Knowledge of Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) processes
  • Knowledge of surface mount equipment (stencil printers, pick & place machines and re-flow ovens)
  • Knowledge of Automated Optical Inspection equipment
  • Knowledge of aqueous cleaning systems
  • Knowledge of AS9100C and ISO quality systems
  • Knowledge of IPC standards and inspection experience
  • Knowledge of cables and system builds (a plus, but not required)
  • Knowledge of Project Management techniques, skills, processes and documentation.
  • Knowledge of implementing new manufacturing processes to support project requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strategic thinking skills to create relevant processes, policies and procedures

Responsibilities include:

  • Directly supervising Solder Ops department.
  • Create travelers and production documentation.
  • Assist the Production Coordinator with producing daily production schedules, monitoring the production process of job orders and adjusting the daily production schedule as necessary.
  • Updates Master Schedule as necessary.
  • Maintain a constant awareness of jobs being processed, production issues and equipment malfunctions to quickly determine necessary alternatives to maintain schedules and on-time delivery.
  • Serve as a link between Quality, Engineering, Design, Sales and Production to provide feedback on potential issues with work-in-progress.
  • Assist Production Management with allocating personnel, material and equipment resources needed to meet production schedules.
  • Supervise 2nd Shift when 2nd Shift Production Manager is not available.
  • Rotate management shifts when Saturday shifts are required.
  • Identify and contribute to improving efficiency and process improvement.
  • Assist Production Management with building and leading a cohesive team that executes objectives with intensity and focus.
  • Assist with hiring, training and retaining a high-performing, highly productive, results driven workforce.
  • Contribute to a collaborative environment within operations and across other departments. Inspire and motivate the team.

Manufacturing Manager

As PCB Manufacturing Manager, you will be responsible for all of the Production departments’ day-to-day operations to ensure prompt progress of job orders to conform with quality standards, production schedules and on-time delivery to customers.

Key Attributes and Proficiencies:

  • Knowledge of Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) processes
  • Knowledge of surface mount equipment (stencil printers, pick & place machines and re-flow ovens); including programming and troubleshooting

  • Lead daily production meetings with leads and/or department supervisors to direct production activities and establish production priorities.
  • Maintain a constant awareness of jobs being processed, production issues and equipment malfunctions to quickly determine necessary alternatives to maintain schedules and on-time delivery.
  • Serve as a link between Quality, Engineering, Design, Sales and Production to provide feedback on potential issues with work-in-progress.
  • Prepare daily reports regarding work-in-progress to department leads and other internal contacts.
  • Allocate personnel, material and equipment resources needed to meet production schedules.
  • Work with department leads to implement company policies and goals.
  • Identify and contribute to improving efficiency and process improvement.
  • Capacity planning, including productivity measurements, manpower planning and material flow.
  • Build and lead a cohesive team that executes objectives with intensity and focus.
  • Hire, train and retain a high-performing, highly productive, results driven workforce.
  • Create a collaborative environment within operations and across other departments. Inspire and motivate the team.
  • Identify and implement capital expenditures.
  • Deploy plans to maximize the effectiveness and profitability of capital investments.

Solder Technician

At our Phoenix, AZ location, the Solder Technician is responsible for soldering thru-hole and surface mount components onto printed circuit boards, adding wires and other edits utilizing the provided documentation, touching up components that do not meet IPC specifications. Looking for full-time candidates with great attitudes and work ethic. Previous experience with Class 3 projects preferable. I

  • Ability to follow work instructions, both written and verbal
  • Review and complete all necessary documentation for each project
