MJS Designs and the 2012 MEPTEC Medical Electronics Symposium

In order to assist health care professionals in their desire to keep up with the latest advancements, MEPTEC, the Microelectronics Packaging and Test Engineering Council, and its trade group partner SMTA, the Surface Mount Technology Association, is again sponsoring the annual Medical Electronics Symposium. On the educational side of the ledger, the symposium is in conjunction with the School of Biological and Health Systems Engineering and the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University.

Held on the 26th and 27th of September, 2012, the affair is intended to showcase not only the amazing new technology now hitting the market, but also the research trend lines that serve as a guide towards upcoming advancements. Of course, medical technology is about much more than just gadgetry. Changes in the regulatory and legal environments can also affect the deployment of new technological breakthroughs. After all, even the best new device is useless until it has gained governmental approval for use on human patients.

Another facet of medical electronics is that of affordability, both in terms of initial cost and return on investment. Given the wide range of corporate sponsors who have also joined the project, economic factors are certain to receive equal billing with those of technical performance. Participants are certain to gain unparalleled insight into the most advanced medical technologies and the way in which they will advance the practice of medicine.  Backed by its incomparable list of corporate and individual members, MEPTEC is certain to build upon the great success of previous events and make the 2012 symposium the best and most informative event ever.
