MJS Designs Sponsors FIRST Robotics Competition

MJS Designs is presented with numerous opportunities to sponsor community and industry events each year, and it is a difficult decision where to spend the sponsorship funds.  There are so many great organizations that benefit from the assistance.  Events that foster young minds in area of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) are among the favorite events of the MJS Designs team.

Team CAUTION 1492 is able to reach out to students who would otherwise be unable to compete in the FIRST Robotics competition.  FIRST® (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology), an international, K-12 not-for-profit organization founded by inventor Dean Kamen to inspire young people’s interest and participation in science and technology. Over a period of three weekends, Team Caution’s mentors and returning students participate in teaching new students the important parts of a successful workshop. They demonstrate a hands-on approach to safety in using tools, brain storming, and making the imagination a reality.  In addition to the annual workshops, Team Caution takes part in numerous community events to spread the mission of FIRST. The events include: Microchip Masters, Microchip Open House, Carl Hayden Science Fair, and Xavier’s Girls Have IT Day.
